═══ 1. About Backgammon ═══ The object of Backgammon is to move the white stones into the home table (the six points in the lower right section of the table), and then to move all 15 stones into the pocket on the right. The black stones are moved by the computer to the upper right section of the table. The player who moves all stones into the pocket first, is the winner. White stones move along the top half to the left, then down, and along the bottom half to the right. Stones cannot land on any point that is already occupied by two or more opposing stones, but can bump singleton stones which are then moved to the middle bar. Stones from the bar move to upper right. After each roll, stones are advanced according to the numbers on the dice. Both dice can be applied to the same stone, but the stone must make the two moves consecutively. Whenever a player rolls doubles, that number is not taken twice, but four times. When all stones are in the home table and you cannot advance any of your stones according to the exact number on the dice, you can move a stone into your pocket that is less points away than the number on your dice. Then you have to roll dice to determine who moves first. The player with the higher numbers on the dice moves first. To move a stone, move the mouse pointer to the desired point and drag the stone to the new place with the right mouse button (mouse button 2). If it is a legal move, the stone will drop to the new place. The computer makes its move then. After that you have to double-click with mouse button 1 to roll the dice or press Enter, Spacebar or Return. Choose Undo from the Game command to undo your last move. ═══ 3.
